I did it. I actually did it. Those words kept going back and fort through my mind as I pedal my way through the last few kilometers of this journey. A crazy dream that has been running through my head for the last 3 years and now I did it. My adventure of a lifetime!

I met a lot of people, experienced different cultures, and took photos of sceneries that I always wanted to see. I saw first hand how beautiful our country is, and everything about this trip would be something that I’ll always look back to. Every sunrise, every sunset, every breath taking moments that filled up my soul. Not only was I chasing a dream but I was living it!

And just like every dream chasing, there’s always adversity. I got tired, I was in pain. Went through countless uphills, rough roads, and I can go as far as telling all the hardships I’ve been through. But my heart was ready. I have learned to love and accept them. Dreams don’t come true just by wishful thinking. You deal with a series of challenges, challenges that majority of us don’t want to go through, and you endure the pain that it brings you. I had doubts along the way and i was even scared at times. But I have high hopes, I was driven, I was focused.

This trip was nothing short of what I imagined. It became more than a bike tour, more than just traveling, more than what I expected. It was living a life. I remember a close friend of mine once wrote on his article, that going down isn’t always a bad thing, being a bike enthusiast himself, he looked at this as a reward, a chance to enjoy the effort you’ve put in for going up the hill, or going through a steep ascent. And for every downhill that I get, not only do I get the sense of satisfaction and fulfillment, but most importantly, I was happy and I felt very much alive.

I have conquered nothing but myself. I understood that if you win a battle within, then you’d win anything outside. I’ve put everything I’ve got on this bike tour. EVERYTHING. That’s why I made it here. I do not intend to brag about what I’ve accomplished, nor do I expect everyone to understand. But I wanted to share this to show people that dreams do come true if you put work to it, regardless of how crazy that dream may be. I did not earn any money from this trip, not even a cent. But I have earned so much more than that, an experience that would last forever inside me, and I have felt one thing that mattered most, it was happiness.

To everyone who’s been a part of this trip, to the people I’ve met along the way, to my family and friends, and to all those who sent their wishes and goodluck, thank you all very much from the bottom of my heart. Now I’m off chasing my next dream!
